Petek has been producing quality leather goods for over 160 years. The company's roots date back to 1855, when a family of saddle makers traveling with the Ottoman Imperial Army opened a workshop in a small town in Macedonia. In the following years, the family business moved to Istanbul, a city of multiculturalism, color and character.
After settling in Istanbul, the company chose the name Petek, which means 'honeycomb', symbolizing the craft of the hardworking honey bee. Resembling a beehive, the Petek family runs every part of the business under one roof.
The traditional expertise of the imperial leather craftsmen has been passed down from family to family for generations and remains part of every product produced by Petek.
